Will and Olivia’s Surprise Proposal!
When Will contacted me to photograph his surprise proposal to Olivia, he knew exactly where in Chicago he wanted his engagement photos taken. The location was outside of her former apartment building, where they first met. They were in town from Colorado visiting for “work” (he told her it was for work and wanted her to come along to help with some client meetings). He had both of their families come to town and we all met up right outside of the apartment building!
The family hid in an alley. I hid behind a big tree. We all anxiously awaited their arrival! Will shared his location with myself and her mom so we knew exact how long we had. When the Uber rolled up, it was game on! He got down on one knee and popped the question! I went running up and got all of the amazing reactions.
The family who was hiding in the alley, watching this all happen, came running out with confetti (don’t worry – we swept it all up! Leave no trace is so important!!). Olivia was so shocked he planned all of this, she was just absolutely sobbing!
After all the hugs, kisses, tears, and excitement, we did some family photos and then did engagement photos of the couple. It was absolutely beautiful.
