Sometimes life has the most wonderful way of bringing people back together. I first met Katie years ago at the gym where I also met my husband Caleb, but we lost touch when she moved away to pursue her career as a veterinary technician.

Fast forward to February, when our beloved cat Javier was hospitalized with kidney issues—and there was Katie, now working as his nurse! It was such a heartwarming reunion during a stressful time, and her compassionate care meant the world to us.

When Katie reached out about capturing her newly engaged bliss with her fiancé and his two children, I was thrilled. We chose Cool Creek Park and Nature Center in Carmel, Indiana, for their family engagement session—a location that was new to me but turned out to be absolutely stunning.

The natural beauty of the park provided the perfect backdrop for celebrating this sweet blended family and their fresh start together. There’s something so special about documenting love stories that come full circle, especially when they involve the kind of genuine, caring people who dedicate their lives to helping others—whether furry patients or growing families.
